mail.google.com

Gmail on the web

What it is

The web version of Gmail. gmail.com redirects to mail.google.com.

Why there's no full URL

Browsers share only the origin with other sites by default, so the URL of the email isn't sent. That also keeps message IDs private.

What traffic it represents

Someone clicked a link to your site in an email they read in Gmail in a web browser. Clicks in the Gmail Android app show up as android-app://com.google.android.gm instead.
