What it does

Runs the uptime monitoring checks UptimeRobot users set up.

Find the list of UptimeRobot IP addresses to whitelist in your firewall or server settings for uninterrupted monitoring.

UptimeRobot

User agent

Requests from UptimeRobot carry a user agent like this:

Mozilla/5.0+(compatible; UptimeRobot/2.0; http://www.uptimerobot.com/)

Device Detector identifies it with this pattern (a case-insensitive regular expression):

UptimeRobot

Anyone can put any name in a user agent. Where the operator publishes IP ranges, checking the request's address against them is the way to confirm a visit is genuine.

Worth knowing

UptimeRobot's help article points to uptimerobot.com/help/locations/ for the IP list, but that URL now redirects to the help center home page (checked 2026-10-06), so no working IP list URL is recorded. The documented user agent is Mozilla/5.0+(compatible; UptimeRobot/2.0; http://www.uptimerobot.com/).

The current list of UptimeRobot's monitoring locations and IP addresses is always kept up to date at https://uptimerobot.com/help/locations/.

How Vireo counts UptimeRobot

Vireo keeps requests from UptimeRobot out of your pageviews and visitors and counts them on its bot report under Uptime monitors, so you can see how much it left out rather than wonder why your server logs show more traffic.

Checked by running Vireo Analytics' own bot filter over UptimeRobot's user agents.
