What the assistant can look up

• Free: totals, daily and hourly stats, what changed, top pages, referrers and sources, AI referrals, Search Console searches, countries, devices, events, a post's stats, 404s, bot stats, Core Web Vitals, notes and the year in review.
• Vireo Pro adds revenue by source and landing page, the store funnel, top products, authors, post types and categories, entry and exit pages, page paths, engagement, goals and funnels, campaigns, cities, downloads, outbound clicks, site searches, real-time visitors and connected sites.

Set it up

1. Pick the WordPress user the assistant signs in as. It sees exactly what that user can see in Vireo.
2. Create an application password for that user under Users, Profile, Application Passwords.
3. Go to Vireo Analytics, Settings, Search Console & API, "Connect an AI assistant". Copy the command for Claude Code, or the config for Claude Desktop, Cursor and others, and paste in the password.

Claude Desktop and similar apps connect through @automattic/mcp-wordpress-remote, a small proxy that needs Node.js on your computer. Claude Code connects over HTTP directly:

Worth knowing

• Every tool is read-only. The assistant can look, never change anything.
• Only users who can open Vireo's dashboard can connect. To cut an assistant off, revoke its application password.
• The assistant sends the numbers it reads to its own provider, so pick the user and client accordingly.
