What is gemini.google.com in analytics? Google Gemini

What it is

Google's Gemini assistant on the web.

Why there's no full URL

The Gemini web app sets its referrer policy to origin, so sites see https://gemini.google.com/ and nothing about the conversation.

What traffic it represents

Clicks on links to your site that Gemini cited or suggested in an answer.

In Vireo

Vireo recognises this referrer as Gemini and counts these visits on the AI assistants card, next to the pages AI crawlers took from your site. It works on history you've already collected, not only from the day you install. See how it looks.
