What is ScCid?

Snapchat ads click ID

Who adds it

Snapchat adds it automatically to an ad's landing page URL when someone taps the ad. It can appear as ScCid or sccid.

What it means

The visit came from a Snapchat ad. Snap uses it to match the visitor and attribute events to the ad.

What to do with it

Snap recommends advertisers send it back through its Conversions API. Leave it in place if you run Snapchat ads.

How Vireo shows it

Vireo doesn't store click IDs, in the free plugin or in Pro.

In the free plugin, Vireo drops the query string from page addresses, keeping only a few WordPress ones such as p and page_id, so a tagged URL counts as the same page as the untagged one. The visit is counted under the referrer it arrived with.
