Switch from Statable

Statable counts visits on its own servers without cookies and shows them in its own dashboard, or in wp-admin through its WordPress plugin. Vireo has no Statable importer, so your Statable history stays in Statable, and Vireo's charts start on the day you install it.

How it works
There's no Statable importer. Vireo counts from the day you install it.
Cost
Free. Vireo Analytics is free on WordPress.org.

What carries over

  • Your Google Analytics 4 history, if the site also ran GA4, through the Google Analytics importer
  • Google searches from the last 90 days, once you connect Search Console

What doesn't

  • Statable's history: pageviews, visitors, pages, referrers, countries, devices, events and campaigns. Vireo can't read Statable's data.
  • Statable's goals, funnels and their completions

What you get with Vireo

  • Visits counted on your own server and stored in your WordPress database, with no cookies on visitors' devices
  • The Google searches behind each post, from Search Console, on that post's stats screen
  • What AI crawlers take from your site, next to the readers AI assistants send back
  • Bots kept out of the numbers and listed by category, so you can see what was filtered
  • Views per post in the WordPress Posts list, and a Popular posts block built from the same counts

What you give up

  • Your Statable history in the same charts as your new numbers
  • Statable's dashboard outside WordPress. Vireo's reports are in WordPress, and Vireo Pro adds read-only share links for people without a login.
  • Counting sites that aren't WordPress under one account. Vireo counts one connected site free, and Vireo Pro has more.

What you need

  • A plan for your Statable history, if you want to keep it after your subscription ends

Steps

  1. Install Vireo Analytics from WordPress.org on the same site. It starts counting from that day. Statable can keep running alongside it while you compare the two.
  2. If the site ran GA4 before Statable, import that history. In WordPress, go to Vireo Analytics, then Settings, then the Import & export tab. Choose Google Analytics and follow the Google Analytics guide.
  3. To bring in searches, open the Search Console & API tab in Vireo's settings, give a service account Restricted access in Search Console, paste its key and the property exactly as Search Console lists it, and save. Then click "Fetch the last 90 days".
  4. Remove Statable's script, or deactivate the Statable Analytics plugin if you added it that way. Then cancel the site in Statable.

Before you start

  • Expect the two tools' visitor numbers to differ. Each counts unique visitors its own way, and Vireo counts each visitor once per day.
  • Nothing in Vireo reads Statable's data, so the old months won't show in Vireo's charts.
