Vireo reads your history from the WordPress.com stats API, where Jetpack Stats keeps it. Jetpack doesn’t need to be active or connected.
What comes across
Daily pageviews, views per post, and referrers.
Jetpack Stats has no visitor counts, so imported days show pageviews only. Its API has no country or device data either; Vireo records those from the day you installed it.
Run the import
- In WordPress, go to Vireo Analytics, Settings, Import & export, and click “Import from Jetpack Stats”.
- Enter your “WordPress.com API key”. The screen tells you where to find it: under Jetpack, Settings, Security, Akismet, or in your WordPress.com account under Security, Application Passwords.
- Check “Blog URI”: the address Jetpack tracks your stats under, usually your site’s domain.
- Set the Start date and End date, and click “Start import”.
The key is saved for the import and only used to ask WordPress.com for your own stats.
Run it once per range
Running the import over a range you’ve already imported counts those days twice. Dates already imported are listed, and refused unless you tick the box to import them again.
If Vireo already has its own numbers, the import stops the day before they begin. See How importing works.
